Carrier Ethernet Switch model : CET-10216

At 1 RU compact size and 48 Gbps of switching capacity, the CET-10216 Carrier Ethernet Access Switch provides the most cost effective access solution for Pseudowire Emulation (PWE3) for TDM, and for Carrier Ethernet applications including Enterprise Layer 2 VPN connectivity services, packet based mobile backhaul and residential triple-play services.

The CET-10216 is a compact 1 RU Carrier Ethernet Access Switch with 48 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity that offers flexible UNI/NNI port configurations.

- Up to 24 Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet ports (SFP or UTP)
- Up to 16 E1/T1 ports

Cost Effective and Flexible Packet Transport Solutions

As data traffic demands increase dramatically, the CET-10216 with 10 Gigabit Ethernet and TDM interfaces as well as MPLS-TP, is the best solution for enterprise and mobile backhaul networks, transporting both legacy TDM (E1/T1) and Ethernet over a converged packet transport network, reducing capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expense (OPEX).

MPLS-TP Solutions Providing Protection and End-to-end OAM

As a packet transport network solution, the CET-10216 supports Ethernet and MPLS-TP, with SONET-like protection and OAM capabilities, E1/T1 circuit emulation and network synchronization (Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2).
The CET-10216 supports carrier class OAM capabilities, including 802.3ah Link OAM, 802.1ag/Y.1731 Ethernet Connectivity Fault Management (CFM), Y.1731 Ethernet Performance Monitoring (PM), and MPLS-TP G.8113.1 OAM. These capabilities provide rapid notification of network faults at both the link level and the end-to-end service level to help ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are being met.
